The American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) Renewal course is designed for healthcare providers and other clinical personnel who are required to complete or want to become BLS certified.  This course is for the experienced learner and must have a current AHA BLS card.

Course content:

• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
• Inmportant early use of an AED
• Effective ventilations using a barrier device
• Importance of teams in multi rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi rescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway, obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Students will participate in practice while watching segments, complete BLS skills practice, testing and complete a written exam.

The American Heart Association requires students to have the textbook for this course which is included with your paid registration.
